Ian Ratcliff - Senior Solicitor
Ian has a wealth of experience in public law and appears and advises across a broad range of jurisdictions. Prior to joining Shaw Reynolds Lawyers Ian was the Principal Legal Officer for the Department of Local Government. He has also held the office of General Counsel for NSW Police.
Ian has extensive experience in running class 1 development appeal proceedings and judicial review matters for Councils and private developers in the NSW Land and Environment Court. His practice at Shaw Reynolds includes advising on a range of environmental, planning and local government matters including advice on the interpretation and application of local government, planning and environmental legislation.
Ian is experienced in advising and assisting with industrial relations and employee matters, including in relation to NSW Industrial Relations Commissioner matters. Ian also has extensive experience in advising on a range of property and commercial matters including commercial leases, voluntary planning agreements, Deeds of Agreement, contractual disputes and debt recovery.
